Candidate cause (the documents say what to do)

Coolant leak at the rear of the vehicle (auxiliary heater hose quick connector)

Some customers may comment on a coolant leak at the rear of the vehicle; bulletin 07-01-37-002 has the details.

The condition may be due to the auxiliary heater hose quick connection leaking, or a broken retaining clip.

What to do

  1. Install an auxiliary heater inlet and outlet quick connector retainer kit; do not replace the entire auxiliary heater hose line set.
  2. The retainer kit for the auxiliary heater inlet and outlet hose connector is part number 19130031, 1 per hose.
  3. The installation procedure is Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Connector Retainer and Seal Replacement in SI (document 1887838).

Caution: The part number is available, but in the parts catalog it is not presently associated with any of the affected vehicles.

Part numbers printed in the document

The numbers are as the document prints them. The name and the replacing number are what the pages of GMPartsGiant, a reseller of genuine parts and not GM, state. Aftermarket equivalents are not checked here (the links only search by number). Confirm the fit for the vehicle (VIN) before ordering.
