What GMT800 is
A General Motors platform of pickups and sport utility vehicles. An NHTSA document lists as GMT800 the 1999–2007 Silverado and Sierra (1500, 2500 and 3500 series), the 2000–2006 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon, and the 2002–2006 Escalade and Avalanche.
The 1500 series is the half-ton; the 2500 and 3500 series are the three-quarter and one-ton. Among the utilities the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade are the short wheelbase and the Suburban, Yukon XL and Escalade ESV the long; the Suburban / Yukon XL 2500 goes by the code GMT830.
It changed within the generation: an all-new electrical architecture for model year 2003, Hydroboost brakes on every utility from 2004, and Regulated Voltage Control on the light duty models for model year 2005.
It shares some parts with vehicles of other platforms. In the documents gathered the Hummer H2 is named with it most often; Hydro-Boost parts are shared with the Express and Savana vans, and 4L60-E transmission parts with cars such as the Camaro and Corvette.
The later generation is GMT900, launched in model year 2007. During that model year both old (GMT800) and new (GMT900) pickups were built, and the utilities were all-new for 2007. No document found says in so many words that GMT900 succeeded GMT800, so the picture draws the succession dashed.

GMT9002007–20141 vehiclesNo document confirms that it followed the platform before it
A General Motors platform of full-size pickups and utility vehicles, launched in model year 2007. An NHTSA document names the Tahoe / Yukon and, with them, the Avalanche, Escalade, Sierra, Silverado and Suburban as GMT 900 series vehicles.
What documents say changed from GMT800: the brake pipes were redesigned and plastic coating fully implemented, and the utilities no longer have a pigtail harness for an electric trailer brake controller.
During model year 2007 the old (GMT800) pickups were built alongside.

Each line is one statement, with the vehicles and model years as it gives them. A statement that lists several vehicles and several units together does not say which vehicle carried which; check the source. The statements were gathered looking for the Yukon and Yukon XL, so those of other vehicles are not complete.
Vehicles are kept apart. Another vehicle’s records are for reference and are not counted as this vehicle’s.
