Stability System Disabled message and unwanted StabiliTrak activation (tire wear or mismatched tires)

The article names 2002-06 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Denali with RPO JL4.

The Driver Information Center (DIC) may display the Stability System Disabled message.

Other concerns are unwanted Stabilitrak activation, noticeable dimming of the vehicle lighting systems, and the VSES motor coming on unexpectedly.
