Privacy policy
Off-Nadir Lab (the "Operator") sets out below how the information of users of FaultCrate (the "Service") is handled.
1. Information obtained
Records of reading: when the Service is read, the IP address of the connection, the kind of browser, the time and the page read are kept in the server's records.
Cookies: only those needed to show the pages, such as the language. No cookies are used for advertising or for analytics that track a user.
Registration (once registration opens): email address, the vehicles chosen, the plan held.
Payment (once paid plans open): payments are processed by Stripe. The card number is sent directly to Stripe; the Operator does not receive or store it. What the Operator holds is what Stripe passes on: the result of the payment, the state of the contract, the kind of card and its last four digits.
Enquiries: the contents of an enquiry sent by email and the sender's address.
2. Purposes of use
Providing the Service, deciding the scope a contract covers, and charging its price.
Answering enquiries, and giving notice of important matters such as changes of price or terms.
Investigating and preventing failures and misuse, and improving the Service.
3. Processors and provision to third parties
To run the Service the Operator uses the services of: Vercel Inc. (delivery and servers), Supabase Inc. (database, in the Tokyo region of Japan), and Stripe (payments, once paid plans open). These include businesses located outside Japan (such as in the United States).
Beyond the above, a user's information is not provided to third parties except with the user's consent or as the law requires.
4. Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as the purposes of use require and is deleted when no longer needed. What the law requires to be kept is kept for that period.
Measures are taken against leakage and loss, such as limiting access to those who need it and encrypting communication.
5. Requests for disclosure, correction and deletion
A user may ask for their information to be disclosed, corrected, no longer used, or deleted, by writing to the contact below. The request is handled according to the law once the user's identity is confirmed.
6. Changes to this policy
Changes are announced on this page. Important changes are also announced on the Service.
