Red OnStar LED and DTC B2455 after Canada upgrade bulletin 15-08-44-001 (audio and microphone drain wires shorted)

PIC6140B lists 2003-2006 GMC Yukon/Yukon XL.

A red LED and DTC B2455 set as current in the VCIM may be noticed after performing Canada upgrade bulletin 15-08-44-001.

When placing calls or connecting to OnStar, the person on the other end can hear the caller clearly.

A short between the audio drain wire and the microphone drain wire causes this concern.

How to tell

What to do

  1. Pull back the tape at X2 of the VCIM far enough to see where the bare wires are covered.
  2. Tape the bare wires individually to prevent them from shorting, then tape the harness back up.
