Blower motor inoperative after blower control module replacement (auto HVAC)

2003 - 2006 GMC Yukon Models with Auto HVAC (and Escalade, Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, Silverado/Sierra Classic, TrailBlazer, Envoy and others)

In rare cases the blower motor may be inoperative after replacing the Blower Motor Control Module with part number 89019351.

It may occur if the blower speed is set to any position except low when the key is turned off.

What to do

  1. Replace module PN 89019351 with the updated Blower Motor Control Module, GM PN 19260762.
