The vehicle (where a record says)

A record is under an engine, a drive or a series only where it says so: the characters of the vehicle identification number filed with a complaint, its text, or what its document says it applies to. A record that does not say is kept as "not stated". The filed numbers and the documents do not tell 4WD from AWD.

Common on this vehicle:Gauge or instrument faultWarning lightCorrosion or rustNoiseLeakReduced brakingStalls or shuts offLoss of engine power, no acceleration

Record by record

35 records state a cause or a remedy. Each record is shown as short labels in the order fault → finding the cause → correction. Press a label to narrow to the records that state it.

A ribbon is as wide as the records that state both of its ends (only the commonest are drawn). A record that names several symptoms or components runs through each. Orange is records that say the fault came back or was not fixed. Results come from owners’ reports only; one that does not say is “result not stated”. None of this is a likelihood of a cause or a rate at which work succeeds.

    Remedy
Reprogramming Passenger Door Module Owners of some 2003 Chevrolet and GMC full-size pickups and utilities, Cadillac Escalade models and Hummer H2 may have concerns that the RKE key fob does not function, the front passenger door power window, lock, mirror and heated seat are inoperative. The Door Lock and Side Window Switch contains a microprocessor called the Passenger Door Module (PDM). The condition and repair procedure involve the PDM. - Those built before 01/03 -- refer to Bulletin 03-08-52-001C. - Those built during 01/03 -- refer to Customer Satisfaction Bulletin 03-011. - Those built 02/03 or later -- refer to published Service Information for the symptom experienced by the customer. Instead of replacing the Door Lock and Side Window Switch, you can now refresh and reprogram the PDM using your Tech 2. TIP: Your Tech 2 must contain software 23.001 (CD 3) or newer, released March 8. If it does not, you must download this software before proceeding. And once you have identified the correct bulletin, you MUST perform the procedures described in it, in the order given, and do not skip any steps.

      Repair

      1. On 2007-2014 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Escalade with moveable glass always replace the defroster tab (GM P/N 25916031) and the power connector (P/N 12034110); on all other vehicles reconnect the original defroster tab.
      2. Remove the rear defroster power connector and crimp a new one to the feed wire; the proper connector, P/N 12034110, is in the Packard Electrical Assortment, Tray 18, Position 5.
      3. Prepare the surface of the used defroster tab and the defroster buss bar with fine grain (500 grit) sandpaper or Emery cloth.
      4. Wipe the prepared contact area with Kent Automotive Acrysol (or equivalent) to remove residual oil or dirt.
      5. Heat the new connector on the buss bar surface to be soldered, holding the connector and defroster tab in place with long nose pliers.
