    Misfire and DTC Code Diagnostic Information Notification

      • The vehicle has a misfire with DTCs P0300 - P0308 and/or P050D set.

      Steps to confirm (in the document’s order)

      1. Establish whether the misfire can be felt; if it cannot, remove the accessory drive belt if possible and evaluate.
      2. Perform the fuel injector balance test and record the results.
      3. Check for a possible fuel quality issue, especially with a cold engine hard start and/or a misfire on all cylinders.
      4. Check the ignition supply voltage to the ignition module/coil assemblies and to the fuel injectors.
      5. Complete a compression test, static and running, and record the results.
