Double vision or ghost image in the driver's auto dimming outside mirror is normal
1Fault
- Some owners may comment that the driver's outside auto dimming mirror (RPO DL3 or DL7) has double vision or a ghost image.
2Finding the cause
Possible causes
- The auto dimming mirror uses 3rd surface chrome glass, whereas a mirror without auto dimming uses 1st surface chrome glass.
3Correction
Caution
- Because the auto dimming fluid lies between the clear glass and the chrome surface glass, some customers may notice double vision or a ghost image, which is a normal characteristic; replacing the mirror will not correct it.
